প্রতিষ্ঠাতা

Reverend Paul Munshi, the founder and Chairman of CSS, was a man of principle who never discriminated against anyone because of their social class. His motto was to stand by the poor, helpless, and marginalized people and to help them regardless of nationality, religion and race.
Reverend Munshi, loving and humble, was born in ‘Purulia’ village under ‘Manvum’ , district in the undivided era of British-India on March 21, 1929. He was the fifth child of Reverend Abdul Wadud Munshi and Mrs. Sushila Munshi. In 1941 at the age of 12 he dedicated himself and his work to God for His glory. In 1955 when he was 26, he successfully completed his Theology degree from Bangalore South East Asia Bible School, India.
He continued and achieved his Master’s degree in Development from Michigan States University in 1980. Through the blessings of God Almighty, he got married to Mrs. Ava Munshi on October 15, 1956. God blessed them with three sons, Jonathan Munshi, Samson Munshi, and Mark Munshi. Both Mr. Paul Munshi and Mrs. Ava Munshi consider CSS their child.
Reverend Munshi is remembered with love and respect by millions of people for all his good work, honesty and integrity. He never devalued or degraded anyone’s work. Instead of giving handouts, he would employ the poor and unemployed. He would provide them work and capital to help them become self-sufficient. His nonstop, motivational work inspired the marginalized people to come out of slavery and lead a life of a free man. He created CSS with similar level of intensity and inspiration. In July 1972, right after the war of independence, unexpectantly, God gave him a job in an evangelical, philanthropic organization called World Relief. He served the war affected people of Bangladesh. In 1975 World Relief was renamed as Christian Service Society, in short CSS.
